Your car is running too rich; whether it be the choke or the idle mixture or even a misadjusted float--it runs fine when you first start it becauce a cold engine needs a richer mixture but as soon as it warms up, it's way too rich. If you're certain that the choke is wide open at operating temperature, then you may need to lean out the idle mixture screw(s)...

: My Maverick 302 seems to have a problem with mornings. I start it up about 5-10 minutes before I leave to go to school in the morning. The car starts, runs, and idles fine. After I leave, its about a mile from my house to the nearest stop sign. When I pull up to stop, it starts idling rough and then stalls. It always starts again and runs just fine after that. The mornings are not cold. (60 degrees) I bought some STP fuel treatment and ran that through the motor and also cleaned my carb/choke because I thought it might have been a sticky choke and it didn't do any good. Is this a choke adjustment? How do I adjust it? Something else?

: Thanks
