I bought a Versailles for $600, sold it w/o rear for $250, used the sway bar, bought a 3.70:1 TL chunk for $165, can't beat it for economy. Like I said, nothing on my car save for guages & engine parts came from a catalog. Its easy to just say :Go to Currie or whatever, but what about those who can't afford that? Hot Rodding is not about catalog browsing and drop shipping, its about research and part swapping. -CP
'The rotors wear out quickly'??? Are they made of a different steel than all other rotors? No.
: I agree with you Sam, there are still good deals out there. I bought an entire 78 Versailles in April just for the rear. It had rebuilt brakes, and tested great. I got the whole car for $575, bought a center section 3:50 Posi used for $400 and my mustang is set to go(man what a difference!! I Love it!!). I still have a spare motor, tranny, the front brakes will go on my maverick so I came out ok, couldnt touch a currie for that without the brakes!
