If you really want to wake your Mav up, find a set of GT-40P heads form an Explorer. You can get bare castings for about $200.00 and complete heads for about $600.00. Central Coast Mustangs has them. Or, if you can find a 98-99 wrecked Explorer/Mountaineer (may be quite a few around with Firestone tires..), get 'em. You may have to switch over to headers if don't already have them. The spark plug hole is in a different location and is straight, not angled...
: Are 1986 5.0 HO heads any different than 91 HO heads. I'm most interested in flow and chamber sizes. Thanks.
