The 70 tank is the same dimension as the 65 15gal tank, on the sides. The big difference is that it is about 2" taller than the 65 tank. We put these in early mustangs all the time, and all we lose is the lower 2" on the trunk floor. When Mavaholic sent me his "brilliant" modification, I saw where he commented on shortening the straps for the 15 gal tank. I am going to put the 22 gal one in my 73 Comet GT, but have not done it yet. I had to replace the one in our 77 Comet, and I wish I had seen his article before I bought one from AutoKrafters. No complaints about them, but I usually have 4-5 22 gal tanks on the shelf. Va Classic Mustang has them for $129.95 and the sending unit for $31.95. Harris Mustang in Charlotte probably has them for the same price. You will still have to bend the front lip, as Mavaholic shows in the article, but this will give you 50% more range and for not much more than the 15 gal tank.
