I was wanting to put an ignition system in my car (73 Mav automatic v-8) I was thinking of going the MSD route, system, coil, and plug wires to match. Any ideas, suggestions, the price I was quoted was $250.00 for all three plus install. My boyfriend will be installing the coil, and plug wires but I just need some advice on what to buy. I heard something about a point system, what is this and does my car have it or does it have an electronic system? Thanks Jeri ................................. The later Ford Duraspark II from a 77 Ford would be all you need on a stock motor. Can use a new coil with it and its electronic and very cheap in comparison. Get the distributer in a yard and a new box at the auto store.
