Does anyone know the shock tower-to-tower dimensions on a 1970 Mav (6 cyl)? I'm having to re-inforce mine and need to know what the factory dim's are.
Also, alignment specs would be helpful (so I can at least get them close). Is there a frame dimensions booklet available? I searched the archives, but the links were gone. Thanks, .......................... Rick, the measurement is 30-3/4" on my car that is solid and has no flex problems. Measurement taken from front shock mounting bolt to bolt, center to center. This could always vary sleightly from car to car in mfg. tolerence. The front alignment specs for 1970-71 are as follows- ....Caster = preferred setting of 1/2 degree neg. with a range of -1.1/2 to +1/2. ....Camber = prefered setting of 1/4 deg. pos. with a range of -1/2 to +1/4. ....Toe In = 1/16 to 5/16" Best, Ken |
