Everyone is correct on this one. What you have is known as a by-passing master cylinder. Replace it and you will correct your problem. And no...you don't need to mess with the booster which is the black canister behind the master cylinder...(if you have power brakes). You need only to change the part you put your brake fluid in. If you're not sure how to do this, I advise getting someone to help you that does know. You HAVE to be able to bleed the air out of the master cylinder, preferrably on a bench, then finish bleeding after connecting the brake lines back up. This really is an easy job, just be careful and good luck.
