This is Ford related but not from a maverick, I hope someone can answer anyway. I recently tested the cylinder compression on my F-250 w/400. The results showed one cylinder significantly lower than the rest: 1- 125, 2-95, 3-130, 4-130, 5-120, 6-125, 7-130, 8-130. Is cylinder 2 at 95 psi far enough less than the others that I need to do something real soon? The truck runs pretty rough right now but I am tracking down vacuum leaks which I think are a big part of that. Squirt a little oil in that cyl. and let sit a minute or so, take another compression reading. If the psi comes up, then that will indicate worn rings etc. If it stays the same then you may have a bad valve etc. A leak down test with air can give you more info on causes. Just a few ideas on the subject.
