JC, I agree with Craig. You need to check that you have ALL appropriate grounds. You haven't complained of any ignition type problems. Battery to body would be first. Is the battery still under the hood in it's original spot? If you had a electrical short you would have more of a tendancy to see fuses popping. This is assuming all of your electrical circuits are properly fused. A poor ground will make things act flaky.
