Traction bars have to have some play in the front end of them. They are a drag racing piece only. They keep your pinion angle from shifting up to much. Spring wrap up is what it's called. Spring shims for about a 2-4 deg down angle and stiffer leaf springs will work better. Along with a pinion stubber. Traction bars don't do any good for street/road racing. Springs, shocks and sway bars will be much better. Along with frame stiffers.
Has anyone ever OR can you, either bolt or chain the traction bars to the frame. I may be way off base here, but would it help traction. I have seen a car with the traction bars chained. Just enough slack to let the bars travel a little bit. If I am way out in left field on this one let me know, but be gentle!
