Hey everybody,

Here's a nifty article on improving Ford headlights by rewiring them with relays. I've seen other articles along the same lines, but to me this is the best I've found. It lists specific wiring requirements and step-by-step instructions on how to do the job. I plan on doing this once I get closer to "done" on my 71 Grabber. If anyone out there has done this, let us know how it went.

Earl, Thats a good improvement, I did a version of this for trailer lights on my pickup. Made up a relay assembly that is powered by the rear tail and signal lamp leads to pass a fused heavy 12v line to the relays that distruibute the power to the trailer without changing the flash rates or the truck lights dimming at all when the turn signals work. Any problem on the trailer wiring doesnot affect the truck.
..When doing this kind of work, just make sure that the wire size is correct and the connections are well done. Never leave out the fuses and place them near the battery supply for max. protection.
