Could be one of many problems, 1st thing i would try would be to, as it is idleing spray some carb. cleaner around the outside edge of the intake manifold, if the car starts to die you have a intake leak, tranny shifts on vacumm, and you might be loosing some. It could be a harmonic problem somewhere, drive shaft, torque converter, or fly wheel, but I do not think so, cause it sounds like it changes at different rpm's "aka" when you down shift the rpm's go up. If the intake is not leaking then i would say its the tranny. Just my thoughts
