74Mavman; I have a clear filter, and it is about 1/3 full when the car is on idle. I have a V-8 with a stock pump. Rev the engine a bit, and see if it doesn't fill up. If not, you may have a bad pump or a restriction in the fuel line, like a kink. Hope this helps. Earl
