what kind of gas mileage can i expect froma bone stock 302 and can i build a better gas mileage engineand last but not least how about a fuel ingection conversion kit?? ............... You should be able to get 15+ with easy driving. If milage is a high priority and you are willing to do work and build a specific setup to attain this then it can be done. While this may be forign to many, fuel milage will be improved by going to a 289 engine, high compression, lean tuned 2 barrel carb and other tricks. I bring this up only to show it could be done as I don't know what your true position is on what you expect from the car in all around performance. Fuel injection can give upwards of 20+ if you think it will be cost effective. The conversion is not all a piece of cake to do as there are specal requirements to meet. The weight of the 'foot' also needs attention if you know what I mean. Set your goals out a little more in order to get a better direction.
