Hi am new to using this forum , but here it goes...I have a 1964 comet cyclone, 302 c-4 wont take regular headers...Mine were on the car when i purchased it so dont know the brand, but thru my research i believe they are doug thorley, or sanderson headers. These headers DONOT touch the towers, but they may be expensive.(about $400.00) maybe this will help you good luck..let me know Brian comet6444@cs.com

Brian, with the size of the engine and the intended use, you are in the relm of custom building headers. Tube size should be 1-3/4" min. to move that much gas out. Figure on routing the front 2 pipes toward the front and down under, and the rear 2 up and thru the fender panels. They will have to be slip togather. Check with a company called Headers by ED, they sell all the materials to do this. Even can get oval pipe and fittings. Look at raising the engine mounting higher if a scoop is being used. It would give a little better weight transfer.
Good luck,Ken
