I did find a way to overcome the vibration problems associated with solid motor mounts when doing my last engine install!!! I took the factory motor mounts and drilled a hole down through the center of the mount (through the rubber and all)and put a grade 8 bolt down through the middle and welded the top and botton to the steel plates that sandwich the rubber...this required me to do a little grinding on the head to get it to fit but I reinforced it with some welding...now I have the advantages of solid motor mounts but the rubber is still there to absorb the vibrations...seems to work great...
