Corbin, Yep, that will definitely do it. The later-model bumpers were quite a bit heavier. Going back to the older-style "thin" bumpers will shed quite a few pounds. You may have to take half a coil out of the front springs but only do it after you've driven it for awhile to "settle" the front suspension.

:= It should "settle down" after being driven for a few miles over "standard" road bumps.

:=If you lightened the front (i.e; fiberglass fenders) then you'd need to cut maybe half a coil off the front springs.

:=:=Hi all,
:=:= I converted my manual drum Maverick to power disc brakes and now after being in the air for so long, when I lowered it down, it sits up way too high in the front. Does it need to settle and be driven for a while to return it back to normal? Any ideas, has this happened to anyone else? What should I do? Thanks.
