As I'm refurbing the engine bay on the '70 Mav, which arrived at my house without an engine, I was puzzeled when I came across this 'bracket on a bracket'.
I'm sure I'll figure it out when I put the engine in, but for now I have no idea what this is for? It's located on top of the driver's side sway bar support bracket. The passenger side doesn't have this on it's bracket. Anyone? Anyone? Class? Anyone? i've got a similar strap on my car. it's a turnbuckle that goes from an engine bracket to the hole in the frame next to the bracket in your picture, then tightens to control engine movement while drag racing. Thanks fellow Mav/Cometiers, Rick |
