i just stumbled upon your site and thought i would drop a line. i had 3 mavricks at one time, all 3 were dirt street stock cars. all had 351w, and custom hammering done to the shock towers, 9 inch rear, stock 3 speed tranny. the cars were all painted yellow with red numbers. i raced one, my dad raced the other, my first one got loose coming out of turn 2, i set it side ways on the back strech, was hammered by a darn dodge dart and ended up rolling one full turn back onto my wheels, needles to say mavircks dont take a roll well, but man were they fast. for 2 years the car had a problem in the corners with bouncing, i solved that by mounting a coil spring on the right side of the diff., the next weekend i won the very next race i was in. well thats some of my many mavirick stories i have, i just thought someone would get a charge out of my stories, if anyone would like to here some more just answere the post and ask for more, i probley have 20 stories about the good times i had in the mavericks. nice site by the way. robert
