 I have cracked my windsheild on my Maverick. I want a Ford Carlite replacement, but the 1970-71 glass hs been discontinued forever. The 72-77 glass (just thicker) would work but has been discontinued since April 2001.

I do NOT want PPG or any other aftermarket windsheild. Where can I find a Carlite? Anyone work at a glass shop or know of an online locator? I already did a Ford dealer locator and came up empty, but surely the glass shops and glass warehouses might have a few kicking around.

My son and I found a complete 72 Maverick here in NC . It has a pristine factory looking windshield on it . I am going Sat to check it out. We were going to use it but ours isnt that bad. I'll double check to see if it is a carlite. This 72 looks to be original of course it will have to be taken out of the car.The guy was pretty reasonable on the complete front we took off the car.Reply if your intrested.
