I have a similar set up, I use a fuel pressure regulator and it works great. I run between 4-7 psi depending on the situation. A restrictor plate would starve the engine for fuel until all 4 barrels opened up. I have a 750 Holley carb on my .40" over 289. I know its way over carbed. But thats what I had laying around. What would happen if I put a restrictor plate under the carb with lets say 4, one inch holes drilled in it similar to what the NASCAR boys are using? I figuring I would have to rejet the carb but would there be a problem with gas "puddling" on the plate? Or any other problems you could see with this idea? Just doing some "couch wrenching" with some friends. Thanks for your thoughts Russ
