Of to the junkyard I go and find an absolutely CHERRY Grabber hood AND a flawless black dashpad (talk about luck!) so with the Maverick in the garage, pointing towards the street I put the hood and dashpad on, so far so good....

Ladies & Gentlemen, I am here to personally attest that your new hood will last alot longer if you PUT IT DOWN before driving out of a garage (Doh!). Rack up one bent hood, two trashed hood hinges and one expensive garage door!

I have been to the junkyard a thousand times since and have NEVER found another grabber hood (much less one in perfect shape!). I weep to this day every time I look at the "plane jane" hood on my Maverick
