The 302 shares the same bellhousing pattern with the 250, but not the 200 or the 170. the 302 will not bolt up to what he has. The flywheel will also be the wrong balance, diameter, and crankshaft bolt pattern. The 3spd itself should be a 3.03 which would work, but would require the correct V8 bellhousing, flywheel, and clutch assembly. You'll also find that the Z-bar is different and the clutchw linkage will not fit the V8.

We're thinking about swapping my old 302 into my friends 60 Falcon Wagon 2 door. Will my 302 bolt up to his 3 speed manual? Right now he has a 170 I6 which is the same block as 200 and 250 right? Also do all 3 speed manuals have the same input shaft? We want to put a 73 302 onto a 60 3 speed manual column shift, any suggestions appreciated.
