Ihave a '72 comet that is an old lady's car. 68K miles, clean interior with buckets and floor shift. I'm building a hot rod. it currently has 302/c4. I need to find a rust-free right rear quarter, and a rear bumper. A pair of rust-free front fenders would be nice too. I don't have a lot of money, but I do have a lot fo questions.

1) are these the lightest cars Ford ever put a 302 in? My budddy says '79 mustanges were lighter.
2) I never seee these cars at the drag strip, why not?
3) Will the 8" diferential with 4:10 gears and a 4 pinion auburn pro series posi stand up to a stock 302/C4?
4) What about wheel-hop, what traction aids are available?
5) How weak is the body, do I need to tie the subframes to run 12 second 1/4 mile?
6) What other Ford cars will interchange hubs, rotors, disc brakes with?
7) What is the largest tire/slicks that will fut the stock reareand and quarters? What is the ideal rim backspacing for the rear of these cars?
8) I need to replace the right rear quarter panel, are any available?
9) What is the best way to find a decent rear bumper.
10) Waht body parts are unique (different) between Comets and Mavericks?
