Wow! OK I can see what you're doing on the bottom end but how are you going to connect the top of the spindle to a strut(I'm guessing)? I am very interested in your project are you going to keep us updated with pics or maybe a "how to"? I would also think this would lighten up the front end a little. I don't know that I would do this but I love to see things like this being done. Good luck, keep us up to date please.

I am fabricating brackets out of 1/4" plate that weld to the top of the frame and wrap around the outside of the frame. These will be for the upper control arm mounts that I will fabricate out of chromoly tubing with heim joints on the end s to make them easy to adjust. Then another bracket in the middle will be for the coil over shock that will run up through the middle of the control arm. I am actually copying pictures I saw of a maverick already done. The pic posted with this is the Maverick I am copying. I went a little further and cut off everything from the shock towers forward. I will build panels out of aluminum that install to the front cage struts with Dzus fastners. The plan is for a one piece fiberglass front end also. I am going to buy one fairly soon because I am getting nervous about how long they will be around for a Maverick.
