Your link didn't work so I'm not sure what blaster you bought but I'll give you my experiences with them. A siphon blaster works OK on small items but really is worthless in my opinion. I never had much luck with them. I bought a $80 pressure blaster from Harbor Freight tools. It works super with 1 thing in mind. The correct nozzle makes all the difference in the world along with adequate air volume. I have a 60 gal 5 HP compressor and it could only blast for about 5 min before I had to let it rest. As far as nozzles, I found the quick disconnect nipples for air lines work great and only cost less than a buck apiece at your local Home Depot. Their good for about 30 min of blasting. Much cheaper than ceramic. I bought 00 sand at a local farm & feed store for $5 for 50 lb. I blasted in my driveway so I could sweep up the sand, run it thru a strainer & reuse it. In retrospect, I think I would check on having it done professionally considering the mess, expense & time. I probably spent $350 to $400, took a couple of months, and my driveway is still beach front property Uploaded file |
