This happened to me with one of my Mustangs. One on the way home from work I had to stop at a drugstore. As I pulled in the lot the brakes went to the floor. The emergency brake of course did,nt work. The parking lot was small and I did,nt want to hit any parked cars so I steered the 'stang into a space along side the store. The car jumped the curb and slammed into the side of the drugstore. Now being the nice person that I am I did,nt want to leave the car on the sidewalk. So I dropped the shifter into reverse. DOH! If it will not stop in drive it sure as hell is,nt going to stop in reverse. I threw the car back in drive and proceded to slam into the drugstore AGAIN. Now everyone in the store comes out to see what is going on and I feel like a complete idiot. I called the garage to come and get the car. The towtruck driver parks in the space behind the 'stang and decides to push the car off the sidewalk. Sure enough, the car rolls back and crashes into the towtruck! When all was said and done, I had to replace the master cylinder, pull the bumper out, straighten the grill, and replace the taillight lens. And not a damn thing was damaged on the drugstore or the towtruck.
