An inline 6 is a 6 cylinder engine with all the pistons in a row,(pretty long, and narrow) rather than in a "v" pattern like the V8s. What does it say on the air cleaner housing? If it's a V8 it should look similar to this: (If not, then it's a 6) -Corbin
