I just switched from 74 drums to 75 discs and both of the above responses are correct. The 75 and newer spindles require a slightly larger diameter tie rod end (the shaft that slips into the spindle) when compared to the 74. I compared a new set of 74 and 75 tie rod ends in a set of 74 and 75 disc brake spindles and discovered this difference. If I recall correctly, if you use the 74 tie rod end in the 75 spindle the cotter pin hole and castle nut will not line up correctly! Good luck
