I've been dealing with this question since I bought my first car back in the mid-eighties (75 302 Grabber). Even though I only owned that car a little more than a year, I had been bitten by the Maverick bug, and always talked about wanting to buy another one. When I finally bought one last year, everybody thought I was crazy. It's still a work in progress, but I hope to be able to rub some noses in it someday. Oh, and by the way, my pitiful little 75 Grabber once ate an early 70's Mach I for lunch on a curvy mountain road. What my 302 lacked in power, my car's light weight and great center of gravity more than made up for in the curves. The guy just about took a cliff dive more than once trying to keep up with me, before finally giving up. Then there was that Bandit-edition Trans-AM....
