Well now, I really can't say anything bad about a Mustang seeing how I have owned approximately seventy-five different ones since 1973. One thing I can say though is that I still have a 1971 Grabber I bought in 1974 and intend on owning it till the day I die. I do love Mustangs and presently own a 1970 Boss 302 (for ten years) but I have to tell you, I would sell the Boss before my Grabber. I have bought 71 Grabbers for both my sons and have another one that maybe I'll restore someday for you know who...no not me, the wife. If that ever happens then we will be truly a Grabber family. Mine is Grabber green, my oldest sons is bright red, the other sons will be Grabber yellow, and the last one is Grabber blue. I think that would be pretty neat to have all four of us drive up to a show at the same time with all four of these cars ready to show. I may be dreaming now but I'm halfway there. So now, my answer to anyone that says "Why a Maverick?" WHY NOT a Maverick!!!
I manage a body shop for a Lincoln Mercury dealer and just recently one of my vendors came into my shop and spotted one of my cars in primer. He too said "Why a Maverick", kind of insinuating that a person would have to be stupid to build one of THOSE cars. He knew as soon as he said it and saw the angry look on my face that he had made a mistake. That stupid question cost him an account. Keep those Mavericks going! Ray |
