I'm in Channelview, TX. About 17 miles east of downtown Houston and know of two Mavericks for sale. One is in Seabrook and the other is my "donor" car ('73 Mav LDO). I've pulled alot of parts off of it but (so far) its still in "restorable" condition.

I'm aware of two other Maverick owners in the Houston area (Pasadena and another in Channelview).

If your wanting to get together to look around for some Mavs or Comets email me and we'll hook up.

Miguel, I'm in Austin, just a little over 100 miles away. It would be great to get a club meet together in Houston! I know there are Maverick/Comet owners in Houston and Austin, but it is hard to get them out of the woodwork. Maybe with your help, we can get a group together. (If I see a maverick or Comet for sale around here, I'll let you know).

:=About 8 years ago I had the pleasure of owning a 74 Comet that a previous owner had dropped a 302 in. It never ran quite right, and had ALOT of blowby. The front end also had a death wobble during turns. It was bright orange, and jacked up in the back with big 60 series tires. It had skinnies in the front, and the shag carpet interior, lol!
:= Now after these years have gone by, why do I miss this car more than the 27 other cars I have owned in my short life???? I am on the lookout for another one, now. I am wondering if there is a gathering of Maverick and Comet owners in the Houston area? Maybe if there is, I can get off my butt, and find one. I will have to get rid of my Falcon, I guess?? Not too much room around the house here:-) So, is there a club, or group in Houston?? Thanks for any help you can give, Miguel
