Racing season is over, but today at the local speed shop I ran into the local track owner and we started talking. The subject was that during the season the have like Mustang night and Nova night and a bunch of other _____ nights, but NO Maverick night. I told him that 3 years ago when I started racing their that I had the only Mav. This year I count 4 different ones at one time or the other. So he said he would check with his boss( I figure that is his wife) and we would see. Do not get me wrong I want the Mav. & Comet popularity to continue to grow, but it sure is fun being different. And yes Craig I talked to them about the MCCI(lal). i race at firebird in phoenix and i'm the only maverick running the team races. theres another that runs occasionally in the super street class. at southwestern int. raceway in tucson we have about 4 mavericks and another being built. i also ran into 2 mavericks at speedworld in whitman az. i too like the idea that not everyone has a maverick. makes you kind of unique.
