Clean it off really well with soap, water, and a soft brush to get in everywhere. Then wipe it down with PrepSol or other paint prep solvent. Wipe it dry, then use a trim paint to spray it. I like SEM brand. I've tried Duplicolor once and it didn't hold a candle to the SEM. I use about 1/2 can of SEM and it looks factory. After 2 cans of Duplicolor it still didn't cover the grille.

SEM can be found at a body shop supply store in aerosol cans.

Hi all,
I was wondering what the proper way to paint a Maverick grill black again. How do you get the paint to stick, etc. How should I do this? Thanks for any suggestions.
