I have a 1973 ford maverick, and this morning i was fiddling with my stereo (hooking up my 2 subs to go on a 2 channel instead of 1 on my amp) anyways... and the car was working before this.

Soo.... I finished working on my stereo and went to start car and it went TICK TICK TICK around the silinoid by battery on front right side under hood.

I replaced battery, bought brand new silinoid and put it in, and a new alternator, and a regulator for my alternator.

i replaced everything! - lol, but it still goes tick tick tick, and i can't figure out why, anyone ever have this problem? - i think it started getting worse since i put in stereo because it draws more power or something... but even with the face plate off and i try to start car with a charged battery it still won't kick over, it tries really hard though..

please reply like in 30 seconds! im waiting ;p

Have you tried to jumper across the positive cable to the starter cable on the solenoid? If the starter turns doing that, then you have problems in the wiring to the solenoid. Remove the small wire on the solinoid and use a screwdriver or slip joint plier handles and jumper to the positive cable( be careful will arc and burn things in two if not held on to the posts firmly) This should activate the starter, if not and the other test does, you have a problem from the start switch to the solenoid
