Mavericks have a donut seal that seals the filler tube to the tank. the rubber seal inside the trunk only keeps water and dirt out of your trunk. Take the 4 screws out of the trunk floor and pick the floor seal up. Then jack the front of the car up as high as possible (with a near full tank) and you should be able to see if it is the donut leaking. Nobody that I know makes this seal so your only course is to find another one or try sealing this one up. You have to drop the tank down to get it out. Other possibilities is the vent in the top center of the tank, or you have a rust hole somewhere. Small holes can be sealed up with JB weld epoxy. If your car is a 75 or newer, tanks are reproduced. 70's are unique to themselves. 71 to 74 will require modifications.
