Personally i know of no differences but i'm no expert I just know i love mine! I have a 4 door'71 Comet with a 302. 65,000
original miles. Bought it from a girl i used to work with who used it for a daily driver who said it originally belonged to her grandmother. All original only missing one original mercury hubcap. Interior was like new [still had the plastic on the rear seat belts which were tucked under the seat!]. It only had one small tear on the front seat and bad spot on the carpet which i now suspect is due to a leaking cowl vent [have you read the FAQ article on those?]. I hope it's a weather seal!.Any way she sold it to me for $350 bucks because I had always admired it and some shiester mechanic at Sears told her it needed $800 in brake work! {there ain't $800 in brake parts on the whole dang car!} To make a long story short i gave a "shade tree" $35 and a $20 master cylender and has been practically trouble free ever since.I'm even gonna put a GT hood scoop, grabber spoiler, and rear wheel well skirts [it is a 4dr ya know] on it. Love your 4dr! They're a dyeing breed.
Nobody wants to fix them up because let's be honest they aren't pretty at first glance but with a little creativity [and parts]
you can have one cool family grocery getter! {sorry for the long post sometime i get sentimental!}
