Thanks for the kind words about me, the club, and the newsletter. The newsletter wouldn't come about if it wasn't for all the members who send in tech articles, pictures, etc. Renewals are still due. About half of you have sent in dues, the other half has not.....hint, hint!! I would encourage all of you, based on Tracy's recommendation, to join the MCCI. As a group, we can really get things done. ----------------------------------------
Just a note let everyone know I finally "bit the bullet" and joined the Maverick/Comet Club International... Why did I wait so long?!?!?!?!
Some first impressions:
The quality of work that Craig Selvey puts into each issue (I ordered all of the back issues) is top-notch! To be honest I was expecting a one-page sheet just listing a few parts for sale, etc. What I got was a professionally put-together publication catering to just the kind of car I like... The Maverick!
The color inserts of featured members Mavericks are darned cool! I now know what kind of wheels I want for my '76 two-door "Pegasus", those like Wilbur Green has on his '76 Stallion! (Jan/Feb '01 issue) If your wondering how what next to put on your car, just join the club and get the back issues ;^)
The tech articles by Mark Gustavson (Utah State Rep) for repair of the rear quarter panels are excellent! I will be using this information in the next two months to repair some minor damage on mine as well.
Anyway, just wanted to pipe in and say that if you haven't already joined the MCCI, now is the time to do it! I for one plan on attending the 9th Annual Round-Up Nationals in New Castle, Indiana and getting to meet some true Maverick/Comet fans.
