how much difference in performance would you notice between regular air filter and K&N airfilter?
Probibly not much with less than wide open throttle. Better to pipe a cold air inlet to the air cleaner from an opening in the radiator apron. The rectangle hose is found at the auto supply stores for a few bucks. Fab a sheet metal mount for the end and adapt to the air cleaner. The 302 air cleaner snorkel from the Tornio around 73/74 has this fitting stock. It's a low cost performance up grade.
