Holes were round from the factory. I have a template that marks exactly where the holes go, as well as size.

Good to know about the template Craig-----I think I'll be able to get them where I need for mounting by marking the spots, starting with a small hole and working up to what's needed.

When I bought my spoiler, it came mounted to a Grabber trunk lid. I tried to re-use the lid but it was too rusted out. I just measured out my original non Grabber lid and used a hole saw. The holes have to be drilled straight down through the edge of the trunk lid. I would have to measure the holes again to be positive but as I recall the hole saw size I used was a 1 inch. Then on the back of the trunk, I cut the additional rectangular holes to match the Grabber lid's holes. They are used to access some of the mounting points.

Hey Mav1970, you did just about what I did. I used the spoiler to mark my spots for the holes on the top of the decklid then used a square to transfer that mark to the lip. I used a stepped drill bit and took it to 1" in diameter making sure to keep most of the hole in the vertical surface area.

It snapped right in first try.

I've got about a 3/16" gap on each side between the center and end pieces.

I'm thinking I can get access for mounting with my existing holes from the inside but will follow your lead and square them out if needed.

Wow this info is great, i never thought about the fact that there were even holes to be drilled or how to go about it. I have a trunk lid with the spoiler already on it and i was going to transfer it to my Comets trunk lid but now seeing the holes that i would have to drill to my original trunk lid i think it's easier just to switch lids.

    OEM Grabber Spoiler Install

Finally done! Painted Wednesday, installed Thursday. This is the OEM Grabber spoiler that I went to due to the issues with Unlimited Products.
My 0-60 time is by lunchtime so I don't think I'll ever have to worry about the back end getting too light on me!:yahoo:

Not bad. It does seem the leading edge of the center piece is a little thick... just a little.
