Hi, my name is Crystal and I have a 1976 Comet I am going to sell it but I am not sure what it is worth. It is a 2 door with 59k miles. I runs great and is in good condition. Here is a pic of it. And here is a link to more pics. If anyone could help me to determine how much I should sell it for, I would really appreaciate it. Thanks.

    :Welcome:

Looks like a great car, sorry to hear your selling it. Does the car have a V8 or 6 cylinder? Does the A/C work? Is there any rust we can't see (cowl, floors, trunk)?

From what I can see, I would start the car out around $2,500 if it's a 6 cylinder, a little more if it's a V8, and a little more then that if the A/C works good and it has no rust.

It is a V6, the AC works and there isn't any rust on it.

Hmmm ... 2-door, bucket seats, sport wheels & sport mirrors, no rust, A/C & tint windows, LDO interior ... $4,000 .....

Very nice car Crystal, but I believe it has an inline 6 instead of a V6. Probably a 250 cubic inch(six spark plugs in a row). The V6 would have three on each side, they were never put in Mav's from the factory. I would certainly ask top dollar for that car if there are no major issue's like mentioned before. If I lived near you, I would make a cash offer in the 3000.00 range, + or - for any issue's found or not. Could bring more at auction on ebay or similiar sights. Start at 4000.00 and deal from there. Here is another idea, see if you can contact Jay Leno to see if he has a Comet in his collection. He may get into his change pocket and give you 5000 for it???

To be perfectly honest i don't know jack about cars. Thanks for the help guys. I have had it for like 5 or 6 months before that it was my boyfriends, step dads, and before that it belonged to an elderly lady that had it garaged and never drove it.

I'd start it at 3,400 being rust free and the A/C works. I don't think it's worth 4,000 being a 6 cylinder car, but some people will overpay for anything, so good luck.
