Trophies have been ordered for the car show. A big one for "people's choice"(first) and a small one for "spanky's choice"(the restaurant owners choice). There is also suppose to be a big etched mug that will probably go to second place like last year.

theres one coming hopefully thats running a turbo set up
theres about 4 or 5 guys from the vacaville vallejo area a few from the sanjose stockton modesto areas and of course me and mike then maybe a few other local guys
if everyone shows up youre gonna move alot of people to put us all together

if everyone shows its going to be prolly the biggest northern california gathering :thumbs2::thumbs2:

stressing on the black car making the show.......theres still a TON of work to be done and critical parts are supposed to be here at the last minute.:nailbiting::nailbiting:
I still dont have a radiator or intake manifold or rockers for the gt40 heads. I ordered 1.7 roller rockers today but they wont be in until monday:(
the following parts are still off
fenders hood windshield under the dash wiring under the hood wiring heads valve covers tail lights rear valance spoiler front bumper back bumper grill oh yeah and all of the interior is out including the complete dash:nailbiting:

good thing all of that stuff has been in and out so many time before its easy to put back in :coco:

    see you sunday :thumbs2:

    Car show is Tomorrow!
I spent some time Today cleaning my back seat and then painting it Black with SEM paint. It looks pretty darn good if I do say so myself and way cheaper than re-upholstering it.

:cry::cry::cry::cry: okay the black car is off the list. we were going to bring it just on the trailer with everything in and ready to fire but after getting the trans in there was an accident....... the jack stand tipped over and the car went rolling away on three wheels (Im not exactly sure why it only had three tires on it but it was a good thing....the damage would have been more sever if it had all four and easily rolled) there was simply no way to stop it once it started rolling down the slope of my driveway until it ran into the wifes car :eek: at that point I called it and said thats it! its staying here.
THANKFULLY NO ONE GOT HURT :dancingpa:

the comet survived the crash with only a minor bump on the rear valance and a scrape to the rotor since it only had three wheels on it. the wifes car didnt fair as well....since just by weird chance there was a garbage can behind my comet it got knocked over and took most of the blow and actually softened the bang so her car only suffered a minor dent in the passenger fender about the side of a palm that I think will pop out with a good thump to the inside or a suction cup

me and mike both have been trying SO hard to get all of the parts (major struggle with the time frame and no parts in stock) and the work done that we slipped a bit and forgot about all of the things that can go wrong and this happened oh well things arent all bad but could have been MUCH worse. this is one time Im glad the garbage can got hit :thumbs2:
