So I ordered some new floor plans for the Mav, only paid $50 with free shipping and got a few new goodies :thumbs2: bought a optima Red top battery and a 69 mustang rear valance for the maverick, the floor pans I bought the long half floor pan for both sides because why pay 25 for the small one when it's the same price for the longer version and you get more metal? So they should be here by the 2nd hopefully

Also I came across some olds cutlass 442 marker lights (all red, not 2 red and 2 orange just 4 red) so I decided that I'm gonna go pick them up this weekend and I'm gonna modify the original marker housing surround on the quarter panel, I'm also going to go with maybe some gto or firebird tail lights but if not then some 69 Camaro lights

I would address that rust in the roof before the floorpans. the roof is part of the main structure of the car. with the shape the roof is in, cutting the floorpans out could cause a misalignment of the doors, fenders and hood.
did you mention what shape the cowl is in? the floorpans could have rusted out because of a rusted out cowl and not the holes in the roof...JMO

So I was happy to get my cutting wheels in the mail today since I've been so busy and I decided to try them out and I'm happy with the result, my rear mustang valance comes tomorrow and only paid 32 for it on rockauto, I just need my optima battery and floor plans to come on Wednesday, I also decided to order an air compressor, a media (soda) blaster, a welder, a tank, and I but 3 18ga panels from summit racing for $50, so early Christmas for me, all the equipment should be here by next month or so, roughly came up to $600 but not bad

Here's a pic of my job, I cut out all the rust and now I'm cleaning the surface rust, and I'm gonna soak it in chemicals to soak in the metal and get rid of the rust for once and for all

The rust on my car isn't bad for the price, I almost have a rust free car, yes it looks "bad" but in person, I just got a wire brush and started cleaning it and looks good so far, besides that rust hole, I need to cut the panel for behind the rear driver door but in front of the wheel, all doors have just a small rust hole except front driver door, and just under the tail light panel above the bumper but I'm getting rid of the tail light panel anyways so not much rust and I'm happy I paid $800 for it with a v8, and I only spent $350 of parts for it besides the equipment and progress is coming really fast and I'm only 16
