Quick reminder about the mini-meet upcoming this Saturday at Mixteca. Some of us are going to arrive early and try to get some spots in the middle of the lot so just look for us!

 

Since we were rained out on Dec 3rd we will be meeting up this Saturday the 10th. Hope everyone can make it!

It's that time of the year for our annual Maverick/Comet mini-meet!! I'm thinking Saturday November 16th at Mixteca. Does that work for most folks?

 

I'll try to get down, haven't been able to make the last couple meets.....

 

Ok it's official now...the Maverick/Comet mini-meet is scheduled for Saturday November 16th at Mixteca (67th Ave and Bell Road) starting around 4pm! In case of bad weather we would meet the following weekend on the 23rd. That's still the weekend before Thanksgiving. Hope to see everyone there. Get the word out!

 

I'll be down to the valley next Monday the 4th, if anyone is interested I can bring the 250 engine down that I have posted in the for sale section. Contact me with any questions or if you are interested in this engine or even just the accessory parts.

Mini Meet

Well I've finally nailed down the next Arizona Maverick/Comet mini-meet! It will be Saturday April 18th 2026 from 8am until noon at Martin's Auto Museum and Event Center located at 4320 West Thunderbird Road in Glendale. It is on the north west corner of 43rd Avenue and Thunderbird Road. This facility has over 170 classic and unique cars and trucks on display...it's quite impressive.

I sincerely hope everyone can make it. Martin's has been very gracious but they do have events at their facility on a regular basis and this was the best date they had for us. If you can respond that you plan to attend that would be great as they have asked if I can provide an approximate head count.

There are a few in our group that also have other Ford vehicles so if you know of anyone specifically with Fairlanes or Falcons I'd also like to invite those folks as well...so get the word out!

Martin's is also offering a discounted fee of $10 versus the standard fee of $15 for those folks that would like to tour the facility...and of course they want to encourage any member attending to visit the facility. Just mention you are with the mini meet to get the discount.

The rain date will be Saturday May 9th 2026.
