As the title states I have a stupid carburetor question, so please be kind. I had the top end of my engine refreshed because of, many different reasons involving a poor auto repair shop. my carb no longer works correctly and it's a new carb. An older gentleman who still does carb rebuilds (something not done around me too much) can't find an exact rebuild kit for my Edelbrock AVS2. Hes and older guy and calls around for parts, doesn't use the internet to find things. All I have looked up shows that the AVS2's are 650 CFM, but have found several in 500 CFM. I am not sure what the original shop put on the car, it's a stock 302 with the AVS2 carb and Edelbrock intake. Is there a way to tell what I have? I have seen rebuild kits for the 650's online.

    the stamped 1906 indicates a 650cfm carb.
