Rear Deck Lid, Removal?

I want to install a pair of 6x9's in the back, but I was wondering what is the proper way to remove the rear deck lid?

 

Why do you need to remove the deck lid?

 

Well is there a different way of installing the 6x9's without removing the rear deck lid?

 

You mean the "Package Tray"??

 

The deck lid is another name for the trunk lid...is this what you are talking about??? Or are you talking about the package tray in front of the back glass?

I mean the piece of vinyl type plastic that sits in the rear window behind the seat, that has two 6x9 speaker cut outs under it.

 

Package tray, remove the rear seat, there are 2 clips with screws that hold it in place, I can remember if you have to remove the 2 rear side panels or not, but it will just slide out toward you.

 

Pretty fast for 1 fingered typing, eh?
