Well guys and girls ,i just got home last night from Saskatchawan, the weather was great ,got a tan . I drove 20 hours through 3 proviences and of thoughs 20 hours driving 2 hours through the Rockies . The 71 original v8 grabber averaged 60 to 70 miles a hour on her rebuilt engine and tranny the whole trip, and ran like a top ,NOT ONE PROBLEM . At every gas station i stoped at, people said nice car man its in great shape for a original car or wow nice car ,i havent seen one of these in 10 or more years. The car averaged about 12 to 14 miles per gal , 14 on the praries and 12 through the mountains . The car has factory deluxe blue high bucket intrior that is like New, rear window defrost and power assist brakes ,everything worked great ,even the AM radio. I bought this one for my girlfriend Bev , her birthday is July 17th ,so its going into the bodyshop for rust repair and a new grabber blue paint job, rechromed bumpers and new rims all before July 15 th . It will be in her driveway on the 17th with a big bow around it and a Happy b day sign. PICS will be up tonight after 6 pm . cheers JamesP.S In its engine rebuild it has a proformer intake and holly 600 4 barrel ,a new cam just a little lumper than a R.V cam and duel 2.5 inch exhaust ,it went like stink the whole way home .

road trips are fun. I brought one from prescott az several yrs ago. what a hoot. glad you had a good trip.
