for any reason you don't think this will work...DON"T DO IT...

a few pics. of how and where i relocated my "heater hoses".
the reason for the mod was to clean up the engine bay a little more.
for my application, i could do away with the heater hose elbow and the bypass hose from the intake.
the bypass hose... can be removed from all 302s...drill (3) 3/16" holes in the t-stat...i bought my predrilled 180 t-stat from...Summit...$15

    2 questions:

Are you still running a supply hose from the water pump to your heater core?

What did you do with the bypass nipple on the water pump? Pull it and tap/plug it like the stat housing? (well 3 questions;) ) Edit: Nevermind, I looked harder and saw the electric pump...

    Interesting idea!
    Hope it works for ya.
    Sure is coming along nice.

I like the headers, Frank. Did you have them ceramic coated or is that paint?

lucky you! still running the stock cable. i had to take a broken (first install) Lokar cable assembly and combine it with two kragen cheapy cables (second and third installs) just to make one that wont fail again... half tempted to take the one out of the comet and trade. good to know that angle clears the stock bracket i like how that gets rid of the PITA heater hoses (makes it harder taking the valve covers in and out in stock config) i may have to figure something similar out for stocker pumps...

I bet you go through a lot of water with no upper radiator hose.
