Primer??

Im getting ready to prime some things on my 71 ... I want to use rattle cans? What kind can i use? I want to use rustoleum filler primer then rustoleum sandable primer.

 

use primer 2 k

 

your local paint supply shop can get you a spray bomb primer (hi build 2k style) that will be compatible with a real automotive topcoat.

 

Does rustoleum not have the 2k primer type?

 

Rustoleum is for lawn furniture, not cars.

 

Is there a problem using a laquer primer while working then using a 2k primer on whole car when body work done before painting?

 

not as long as the car stays dry

There are primers in spray cans, just make sure that they are automotive primer. Regular enamel primer like rustoleom and krylon won't work under automotive paints. They will peel. Don't ask how I know.....
