I would just like to know once and for all if it's possible to do the 1" UCA drop on a 1974 maverick with the extra support brace, once and for all... So I know if I should go ahead and get the template and bit or just put it out of my mind and get my car aligned. I just want to put it to rest one way or the other. Thank you.

So I take it that no one has done this drop on a 74 or later maverick? only 73 and earlier? Yes... No...

    Thanks

what would the support brace have to do with the drop...it has nothing to do with the upper control arm.

Looks like you could remove the support brace and drill your new holes for your drop. Then cut some material off of the bottom of the brace until you can bolt the brace back up to the new lower holes. Then weld it all back in.

    Maybe?

So I take it no one has. It just would be nice to see the results from someone who has done it. I can't have my car down for to long right now, I need it for work...
